Drive for Animal Shelter

Gavin Kuncl, Writer

A drive is being held by the Future Farmers of America team and the Agriculture classes at Fayetteville High School for the Fayetteville Animal Shelter. The drive is going on through the month of November.

Donations to the shelter can be any amount of money, as every bit helps. There is also a wish list for cleaning supplies and animal care supplies.

Cleaning supplies that are needed are paper towels, bleach, liquid laundry detergent, sponges, dish soap, window cleaner, trash bags, hand sanitizer, and regular towels. Animal care items that are needed are toys for dogs, toys for cats, treats for dogs, treats for cats, canned food, and blankets. There are also special wishes for fabric scraps around half a yard or bigger for bandannas.

If anything can be donated, no matter how big or how small, the donations can be dropped off at Fayetteville Animal Services, 1640 S. Armstrong Ave. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 5:30, and Sat. from 10:00 to 4:00.
