Summer is approaching, and with that comes new events at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion.

The AMP, opened in 2005 in Rogers, schedules several events throughout the summer and early fall. Past events have included bands like Panic! At the Disco, Twenty One Pilots, and The Lumineers, and past solo artist have included rapper Travis Scott and pop singer Meghan Trainor.

However, the AMP does not only feature musical artists. Comedian Kevin Hart performed a stand up at the AMP in summer of 2016.
This year, the AMP has an exciting lineup. Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, and Kenny Chesney are just a few of several country artists coming to perform this summer. Pop stars Kesha, Macklemore, and Charlie Puth will make their way to the stage to large crowds, as the events are nearly sold out. Perhaps the biggest performer to come to the AMP this summer, however, is former One Direction member Niall Horan. When tickets were released for Horan’s show, thousands of people flooded the website in hopes of purchasing tickets.
Along with newer artists, the AMP will be featuring some older bands. Chicago and REO Speedwagon will hit the stage on June 26th, likely to an older crowd.
