On Sept 20, 2017, the season 12 winner of America’s Got Talent was announced. Fans were left awestruck and astonished after ventriloquist, Darci Lynne Farmer, was announced as the winner. Darci is the third child to win AGT and, this year was accompanied by another child, Angelica Hale, as runner-up.  According to an article on Golderby.com, this season finale was the second most viewed episode in AGT history.

Linda Cavanaugh interviewed Darci Lynn Farmer alongside her Mom, they both expressed all their emotions they had and how the rest of their family was feeling when AGT host, Tyra Banks, said her name. Cavanaugh asked what was going through her mind when they announced her name; “oh my goodness, I was like… I don’t even know. I was just like in shock, I was just delirious then”, said Lynn

Darci Lynn was also grateful that she was able to share the stage with runner-up Angelica Hale, “I’m so overcome with joy that she was with me in the top two. It was really, really hard for her not to get a happy ending and win, but she’s so happy for me, and it makes me feel good that she’s supporting me.”
